About Dr. Chris Brummer
Dr. Chris Brummer is an expert lawyer who has been working in the field for many years, though he is currently located in Georgetown. He is actually the faculty director and is a professor himself at the Institute of International Economic Law, which showcases a bit of what Brummer is interested in. He has been working at this facility since the year 2009, but prior to this, he taught at Vanderbilt Law School as an assistant professor. He has also taught for guest lectures at some of the top law schools around the world such as the London School of Economics of the University of Heidelberg.
Dr. Chris Brummer is also on the National Adjudicatory Council of FINRA and he actually just completed a three-year tenure there. This board helps Congress in ensuring there is regulation in the security sector, and he has even helped in providing added security to investors around the world. President Obama highly trusts Brummer as well as he has invited him to be the Commissioner for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The Senate immediately approved him for this role, but he has since not been in the role any longer since the appointment of President Trump.
Dr. Chris Brummer does teach on a weekly basis, and this is one of his top passions in the career field. He is also a well-known author in the legal sector, writing books that others use for their professional careers such as Law in a Nutshell that was released in the year 2019. He did graduate with honors from Columbia Law School, and he does have a doctorate degree in Germanic studies as he loves this language. He has been awarded so many awards in the sector that he is in including the C. Boyden Gray Fellowship award which comes from the Atlantic Council.
